360° Communications, LLC the parent company of DBD, LLC and DBD Staffing, LLC, has been granted two state certifications (MBE/EDGE), one federal certification (DBE), and one national certification (NOMSDC).
The Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) program is funded by the US Department of Transportation (US DOT). The goal of the DBE certification is to increase opportunities for minority and women-owned small businesses to participate in federally funded projects.
The MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) and EDGE ( Encouraging Diversity, Growth & Equity) are both issued by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS). Both are state certifications that are honored by local, county, and state agencies in Ohio.
The NOMSDC, (Northern Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council) is a chapter of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), a national organization that provides a direct link between large corporations and small minority owned businesses. “We are proud to be accepted in to this organization and we will take full advantage of their networking opportunities.” Says, Benita Williams, the President of 360° Communications, LLC.
“All four certifications are additional avenues to do business with local, state, and federal agencies, in addition to large corporations. It was an equal amount of work to get certified by all three agencies, we had to prove our minority status, provide documentation to confirm we are a profitable and legitimate business, and then we had to demonstrate our industry knowledge”, Williams states.
Since 360° Communications, LLC is the parent company to DBD, LLC and DBD Staffing, LLC, the certification covers all three organizations. “We have experience contracting with large corporations, state, and federal agencies as prime contractors and as sub-contractors. These certifications help to increase our exposure and provide an equal opportunity for all small and minority businesses to win government contracts“, says Williams.
