Chroma has begun rolling out a collection of inspection modules and automated test solutions designed for characterizing, validating and testing mono and multi-crystalline silicon cells. John R. The Automated Inspection Modules provide Solar Cell Raw Wafer Dimensional & Defect Inspection, Processed Cell Front / Back Side Printing & Defect Inspection and CIELAB Color Classification. All inspection modules are integrated with a touch screen monitor, computer and multiple interfaces for simple installation and customer configurable operation.

Automated Test solutions are offered as a standalone instrument configurable to a third party solar simulator for solar cell or solar module testing. This instrument can be integrated with a Chroma solar simulator providing a complete solar cell test system. Chroma’s solar cell test system features a class AAA+ simulator and patent pending low shadow probing. All solutions perform full four-quadrant I-V testing for indoor simulated or outdoor natural sunlight.
