The new Flatiron Hotel (flatironhotel.com) will bring sophisticated rooms and classic amenities to the trendy Flatiron neighborhood when it opens this fall. The 64-room hotel sits on Broadway and 26th Street, with rooms facing the Empire State Building and Broadway.
Once a popular area for photographers and toy manufacturers, the Flatiron District has become known for housing advertising agencies and publishers, computer and internet start-up companies, and trendy restaurants and shops. The infamous Flatiron Building – for whom the hotel is named, is one of the City’s original skyscrapers.
“The Flatiron Hotel is within walking distance of the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden. It’s in the center of all the action – right in the heart of Chelsea,” according to Bob Handler, Lead Project Manager of the Flatiron Hotel. “Guests from all around the world are looking to experience New York and all it has to offer. In the Flatiron District, there are fantastic restaurants, famous bars and the rich history of New York all in one neighborhood. Between our location on Broadway, our brand new rooms, multi-lingual staff, and Chelsea right outside our front door, we will offer the ultimate New York experience.”
The property will include 64 guestrooms, a rooftop bar, full-service restaurant, a fitness center and even a two-story fish tank in the lobby. The guestroom décor will be reminiscent of the finest hotel rooms. With Venetian walls, platform beds, luxurious linens, mechanized drapes, wall-mounted flat screen plasma televisions, and even a television embedded in the bathroom mirror, guests will have the latest technology at their fingertips while being surrounded by luxury at every turn.
