Prior to joining of the Board of Directors of OJSC ‘AsiaUniversalBank’, Dr. Irina Bauer held various senior management positions in the American Express Bank for about 10 years. Following acquisition of the American Express Bank by Standard Chartered Bank in 2008, Dr. Bauer was appointed CEO in Standard Chartered Bank Kazakhstan, as well as held the Senior Banker position. Her responsibilities involved all aspects of banking business, including strategic development, credit policy, compliance and risk management. Dr. Bauer holds a Doctorate Degree in Economics from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Dr. Bauer is a citizen of Austria, married, has a daughter.
