Following the first round conducted in the Asian and Pacific regions, best Internet banks of Asia were identified. The competition was attended by banks from 21 countries.
Winners were chosen among entries evaluated by a world-class judging panel. Winning banks were selected based on the following criteria: strength of strategy for attracting and servicing online customers, success in increasing the number of customers, and breadth of product offerings. Particular attention was paid to design and functionality of banks’ websites. The panel also evaluated activity of banks in the development of such services as well as evidence of tangible benefits gained from Internet activities. Summing up all the criteria, “Best Consumer Internet Bank” and “Best Corporate Internet Bank” were announced for each of participating countries.
