Coventry Airport has opened its new dedicated Executive Jet Centre exclusively for the business aviation market.
Guests from Coventry and Warwickshire, the aviation trade and VIP’s attended the opening, during which a commemorative plaque was unveiled by the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Councillor Jack Harrison.
The new Executive Jet Centre features a beautifully furnished lounge and meeting room as well as a pilot’s rest room with en-suite shower room. Completely designed and built in-house, the new facility has a clean, contemporary feel to it and offers all the amenities you would expect in a luxury terminal. Parking is right outside with apron transfers arranged where possible.
Coventry Airport is situated at the centre of the motorway network, affording complete ease of access from the M6, M40, M42, M1 and M69. Major venues are all close by including the Ricoh Arena, National Exhibition Centre and National Agricultural Society Showground. Smooth helicopter transfer to London’s Battersea heliport, only 35 minutes away, can be arranged with on-site operator Helicentre.
Airport Director Brian Cox said “We are extremely proud of the new Executive Jet Centre, it gives Coventry Airport the edge over other nearby airports when catering for the business aviation market. We are now able to offer a discreet, efficient and customer focused service that customers will not be able to experience elsewhere.
We, like everyone else in the airline industry, recognise that we are operating in difficult economic times. Our decision to upgrade our facilities to include an Executive Jet Centre is part or our commitment to remain positive and prepare ourselves for the upturn of the future."
