Legend Press has further highlighted its rapid growth with the acquisition of a new novel by best-selling Swiss author Zoë Jenny.
At 23-years-old, Zoë’s first novel, The Pollen Room (1997), won global critical acclaim and is the best-selling debut novel by a Swiss author and has been translated into 27 languages by publishers including Simon and Schuster, Bloomsbury and Editions Gallimard.
Since then, Zoe has published numerous best-selling titles, such as The Call of The Conch Shell (2000), A Fast Life (2002), and The Portrait (2007) and is widely regarded as one of the best writers of her generation.
The Sky is Changing, which will be released in May 2010, is Zoë’s first novel written in English – seeing her become one of first bestselling authors to write and publish novels in different languages.
Tom Chalmers, Managing Director of Legend Press comments ‘After hearing Zoë was going to write her first novel in English, I have been pleading with her to let me see it as soon as it was finished. As soon as I started reading The Sky is Changing I knew we had something special. We expect this to be a landmark move for Legend Press, signing one of Europe’s most acclaimed authors and further promoting her fantastic writing in the UK and on a global level.’
Zoë Jenny was born in Basel, Switzerland, in 1974. After years of travelling and living in New York and Berlin, she has now settled in London.
