The 600-square-foot ANKA store opens today in the 3rd Street neighborhood of LA that sits between the Beverly Center and the Grove, home to many small designer boutiques. Co-owner Anka Collo points out, “Our LA clients in New York were instrumental in our decision to open a store in LA. We were constantly told that our clothes would fit the LA lifestyle and aesthetic.”

ANKA has been seen on MTV’s “TRL”, ABC’s “General Hospital”, and worn by celebrities Paris Hilton and Vivica Fox.
A special service of ANKA is its custom fitting. Both the New York and LA locations can make each garment from scratch to fit a particular body type. Clients can even request a special color that is not offered as a part of the line.
The spring line features silk tops that are a perfect match with a pair of sexy jeans and strappy heels, but co-owner and lead designer for the label, Victoria Grant, adds that “Opening a store on the west coast has inspired me to expand our line of dress which are perfect for a summer wedding or a special event. This year we found that many of our clients were using our dresses for their bridesmaids. This is a very exciting step for ANKA and we look forward to being a part of the LA fashion scene.”
