AXA Art Insurance Corporation announced that Janine Hill has been elected as a member of its Board of Directors. The company now counts fifteen distinguished board members.
In acknowledging Ms. Hill’s appointment, AXA Art's Chairman, Dr. Ulrich Guntram said, “AXA Art Insurance welcomes Janine to its board of directors. Along with her record as an avid art collector, she brings a wealth of finance, legal and international knowledge and experience to this body, and we look forward to the benefits of her contributions”.
In 2002, Janine Hill joined the staff of the Council on Foreign Relations, an organization widely regarded as one of the most influential foreign policy think tanks. She is currently the deputy director for administration of the Studies department, a program which has 67 scholars, 30 research associates and a $12 million budget.

Janine Hill began her career as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, before joining Salomon Brothers where she became a Vice President in Corporate Finance. Over the years, she has made significant contributions as an active member of many community organizations and served as a member of board of trustees including to the Academy of American Poets, American Friends of the Louvre, Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, the American Foundation for the Paris School of Economics, and Our Lady Queen of Angels parochial school in Spanish Harlem. Hill earned her Juris Doctor Degree from Harvard University with emphasis on securities law, taxation and comparative law. She is married with 2 daughters.
