We are over run with moose! Streets in this picturesque Vermont are filled with people viewing the invasion of the Moosefest 2009 Herd. Sixty six full sized moose, Bulls, cows and calves plus 19 desk top School Moose have been artist decorated and are on display, it’s quite a sight!

Bennington residents consider the painted and decorated moose sculptures as our "in town" Ambassadors of Friendship. The colorful moose are on the streets greeting guests from near and far.

To explain the great excitement these fabulous creatures bring to our community is almost impossible. Our Artists have outdone themselves.

The School Moose are smaller and have been painted by local school kids with the help of their teachers. Every moose, large and small, is for sale at the auction. School moose will be by silent auction. Proceeds from Moosefest 2009 are designated for non profit organizations, and the Chamber of Commerce.
