The award ceremony was held at the DEKRA head office in Stuttgart on 16 June 2009. Dr. Volker Zimmermann, Executive Vice President and in charge of the Business Division Road at Voith Turbo, accepted the prize on behalf of the Product Group Retarders from the host Paul Göttl (Divisional Manager ETMservices) of EuroTransport Media Verlags- und Veranstaltungs GmbH. The latest results of a consumption test in cooperation with a neutral industrial examining body (TÜV SÜD Automotive GmbH, Garching) have also confirmed that Voith Retarders save fuel. In vehicles with retarders combined with automated manual transmissions, the fuel consumption was reduced by up to 0.33 liters per 100 km.
