With this week seeing the start of BBQ week, Summer food lovers will be turning to rosé wines, and there is no better choice than enjoying THE wine made for outside drinking: Rosé d’Anjou.
Rosé d’Anjou wines are a great match for picnics, barbecues and long leisurely lunches in the garden as well as snacking with sandwiches or feasting on grilled salmon and steaks.
Rosé d’Anjou is a salmon-coloured, off-dry rosé wine produced by winemakers from around Angers in France’s Loire Valley. Attractive on the nose with lots of fresh red fruit and subtle hints of mint and white pepper, it’s made from a blend of Grolleau and Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the region’s clay limestone soil.
A versatile and accessible wine, it’s perfect with a whole range of foods: from ham sandwiches to lobster and quails’ eggs. It also goes perfectly with Asian cuisine, as well as cold meats, chicken, barbecues and a host of salads. And of course, it is also excellent to slowly sip with friends. It should ideally be served chilled.
Rosé d’Anjou is available at most good supermarkets and off-licences.
Rosé d’Anjou Wines are delighted to announce that they are the official sponsor of the upcoming Gay Icons exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London. The exhibition opens on 2 July and runs until 18 October.
