Centurymark Home Loans and The School of Mortgage Lending will begin working together to pioneer a new education initiative within the mortgage industry.

According to Williams, “The School of Mortgage Lending is partnering with Centurymark Home Loans to create two custom courses and offer them to Centurymark Home Loans employees. We envision the collaboration as a way to offer high quality course content in an interesting and fun way, thereby ensuring the best retention possible. The School of Mortgage Lending will submit the course for approval for Texas continuing education requirements, approval expected approximately August 1, 2009.”

Susan Williams has been an educator in the mortgage lending industry since 1979. She started The School of Mortgage Lending in 1991 as a classroom only learning experience. Since then, Williams has moved into a niche of distance and on-line learning. Williams said that The School of Mortgage Lending is well known for having a wide range of material and courses.

The goal of the partnership is to gain active participation of loan officers as well as to highlight the importance of having in-depth product knowledge with an emphasis on compliance.
