Sibley Partners and ACG Management today announced a venture that combines the capabilities of both firms, offering comprehensive property management and consulting services to owners and investors in all categories of commercial property, including multi-family, office, industrial and retail.
The new venture, known as Sibley-ACG, is managed by the principals of both companies. With a special focus on services for distressed commercial real estate, Sibley-ACG offers loan and property work-outs, note or asset sales, assistance on foreclosures, court-appointed receivership services, and management and disposition of REO properties.
“Owners and investors throughout the commercial real estate market face unprecedented challenges and opportunities in today’s difficult economy,” said James J. Weber, ACG’s general counsel and director of property management, and Keegan Bonebrake, Sibley Partners’ managing director, in a joint statement. “With decades of industry experience, Sibley-ACG is uniquely qualified to create and execute solutions for distressed commercial property.”
The principals of Sibley Partners have more than 40 years of multi-family property and asset management experience, including transaction experience exceeding $1 billion and totaling more than 15,000 units. The firm provides consulting services covering acquisitions, dispositions, financing and operations of multi-family assets.
Sibley Partners, based in Chicago, also offers extensive experience as court-appointed receiver and owner’s representative for distressed properties, providing day-to-day financial and administrative management to preserve asset values during legal disposition processes.
ACG Management Company, based in Arlington Heights, Ill., is the property and asset-management arm of Arthur Capital Group, Inc. It offers skills and experience covering property management, asset management, property accounting and financial reporting, facilities management, financial analysis, lending and valuation services, sales and marketing, debt and equity sourcing, and construction management. The company also has extensive experience in providing receivership services.
The executive team at ACG Management includes experienced asset, property and facilities managers, as well as a licensed attorney, architect, real estate brokers and construction contractor. ACG’s senior staff has experience in the field dating back to the late-1980s savings-and-loan crisis, including dealings with the Resolution Trust Corporation that was formed to deal with the aftermath of the failed savings-and-loan industry. ACG represents institutional owners in managing commercial real estate assets, including office and industrial buildings, medical facilities and retail property.
