eProcessing Network, LLC, the leading independent payment gateway and software development company in the electronic payment processing industry, announced today that it has successfully completed its annual compliance audit and has been re-certified according to the PCI DSS 1.2 Standard.
The audit was conducted by Trustwave, the leading provider of on-demand data security and payment card industry compliance management solutions to businesses and organizations throughout the world. The audit has deemed that eProcessing Network exceeds the latest compliance rules and regulations defined by the PCI Security Standards Council and enforced by the card associations. This is the seventh year in a row that eProcessing Network has received certification and was one of the first gateways to achieve such compliance. A Report On Compliance (ROC) has been filed with Visa and the PCI Council, and a Letter of Acceptance has been received from Visa.
“Our PCI compliance certification demonstrates our dedication to providing the highest levels of security to our resellers and their merchants,” says Steven Sotis, President of eProcessing Network. “In today’s economic climate tempered by too many security breaches, protecting cardholder data is paramount to how we conduct business. When merchants use our gateway and applications, they don’t worry about being exposed. eProcessing Network is their accomplished and reliable security partner.”
The PCI compliance audit follows the PABP certification that was announced recently for eProcessing Network’s suite of offerings that include ePNJPOS, ePNPlugIn and ePNMobile. All have been certified PABP compliant under the Visa U.S.A. Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP). Visa developed the Payment Application Best Practices (PABP) to direct software vendors to create and maintain secure payment applications to reduce vulnerability of merchants and minimize data breaches. eProcessing Network’s (eProcessingNetwork.com) payment gateway solutions have all been evaluated and determined to comply with PABP.
