Jazz Fest is scheduled for Saturday May 2nd from 2pm until 10pm (rain or shine). This years musical acts include: Whop Frazier, a Washington DC blues legend; Sol, a funk, roots, blues master; the Dixie Power Trio, musical gumbo; and many more talented regional and local performers. All Three of these acts perform at many wineries, festivals, and venues in the DC area. All of the performers throughout the day will bring a blend of jazz, funk, and blues with a focus on New Orleans flavor.
Okras Jazz Fest in Northern Virginia is scheduled the same weekend that Jazz Fest in New Orleans is occurring. The festival site will be at Harris Pavilion located at 9110 Center St. Manassas, VA, 20110 . Just 5 dollars purchases an all day pass. At the festival site will be the Crawfish Boil, French Market, Beer & Wine Garden, Old Town Walking Tours, Kid & Family Activities. Proceeds from the festival go to benefit CASA. CASA is a non-profit organization serving abused, neglected and abandoned children through specially trained community volunteers.
