FundingPost is proud to announce its “NYC Early-Stage VC & Angel Event,” sponsored by Morrison & Foerster, to take place on May 13, 2009. FundingPost is excited to be organizing another conference in New York, as its most recent event in February boasted 450+ attendees and was featured in Smart Money Magazine and Entrepreneur Magazine. The upcoming event will be more intimate, including a panel discussion with leading Angel Investors and Venture Capitalists from the NY area. The panel will address trends in early-stage investing, hot sectors, the best and worst ways to get their attention, as well as additional advice on how to grow your business during the recession.
Speakers for this event include:
• Larry Chaityn, President, Keiretsu Forum NY Tristate
• Owen Davis, Managing Director, NYC Seed
• Matt Turck, Principal, Bloomberg Ventures
• Charlie Federman, Angel Investor, Crossbar Capital
• Kyle Harris, Managing Director, Liquidity Works, Inc.
• Amish Jani, Managing Director, FirstMark Capital
“We are also thrilled to be bringing in some New Venture & Angel groups to speak at this event, along with some industry veterans,” said Joe Rubin, Director, FundingPost. “Keiretsu Tristate, NYC Seed and Bloomberg Ventures are each only a few months old and actively seeking new deals.” As with all FundingPost events, there will be pitching and plenty of networking time for the entrepreneurs to meet the investors! There is still space available, but the event is limited to only 100 tickets!
