TAMBA has produced a new viral game, called ‘Off Your Trolley’ to attract new delegates to the 2009 show, which features the main themes of the exhibition.
Last year TAMBA produced ‘Internet World Walkabout,’ a viral game to reflect the 2008 show’s web 2.0 focus. The game involved moving delegates around exhibitors’ stands and directing them to various areas of the arena. It attracted 7.2 million plays.
“Following on from the success of last year’s viral game for Internet World, we decided to appoint TAMBA as viral partner again for the 2009 exhibition. The campaign this year has gone back to basics, with a simple yet highly addictive and engaging viral game that challenges players to collect Internet World icons, climb the various levels and challenge their colleagues to beat them on the leader board,” said James Drake-Brockman, Internet World Show Event Director. “The game effectively represents the five core areas of the show – digital marketing, web 2.0 and social media, e-commerce, connectivity and hosting and content management – while encouraging players to register for the event.”
Internet World is now in its seventeenth year and is the longest running business event for professionals involved in the industry. It takes place at Earls Court from April 28-30 2009.
“Last year’s viral game attracted a large amount of players, increased web traffic and attendance rates,” said TAMBA CEO Kay Hammond. “The new game will further push interest and attendance numbers.”
TAMBA will be exhibiting at stand number E4060.
