On May 2nd, 2009, Lululemon Athletica Store, Calabasas will host the 2nd Annual Wyatt’s Run Kick Off Party with celebrity host Tom Bergeron. This highly anticipated red carpet event is the pre-party for Wyatt’s Run for Autism, a 100-mile marathon and family festival that will take place in Hidden Hills on May 16th 2009.
Both the Wyatt’s Run Kick Off Party and the Wyatt’s Run for Autism - Marathon and Family Festival will benefit Autism Care and Treatment Today (ACT Today!). This wonderful organization provides grant money to under privileged families that cannot afford the autism treatments their children need. ACT Today! Executive Director, Nancy Alspaugh –Jackson’s son, Wyatt, is the inspiration behind the 100-Mile run. When Nancy’s dear friend, nationally acclaimed Ultra Marathoner, Shannon Farar-Griefer found out about Wyatt’s condition, she wanted to do whatever she could to help – so she ran an entire 100 miles in May 2008, the first Wyatt’s Run, and raised nearly twenty thousand dollars for the organization.
Lululemon Athletica Store, (4719 Commons Way Calabasas, CA 91302) has been a huge supporter of ACT Today! This is the second year they will be graciously hosting the Wyatt’s Run Kick Off party. Dancing with the Stars’ Tom Bergeron will be the evenings celebrity host and signed copies of his new book I’m Hosting as Fast as I Can! Zen and the Art of Staying Sane in Hollywood will go to 10 lucky raffle winners! Marmalade Café will be catering the event. One HOPE Wine will be featured at the hosted bar. Entertainment will include recording artists Thorn Hill, Stereofix, and NonP. The Beauty Connection will be donating gift bags to the evening’s guests. ACT Today! is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to increase access to autism effective treatments. Their goal is to educate families and help facilitate effective treatment by providing the information, funding assistance, and referrals to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and their families.
ACT Today’s mission is to give all children on the autism spectrum the services and support they need to achieve their highest possible potential.
