Seapine Software, a leading provider of quality-centric application lifecycle management (ALM) solutions, today announced it has been positioned in the “Visionaries” quadrant of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Software Change and Configuration Management (SCCM) for Distributed Platforms report, published March 26, 2009. The report evaluates SCCM vendors based on their ability to execute and their completeness of vision.

According to the report, Gartner estimates the SCCM tool market has been growing on average 10% to 13% over the past several years, with new product license and maintenance revenue of approximately $810 million in 2007. This growth rate is expected to continue through 2013 with focus on products that incorporate ALM capabilities. The report also notes there is a significant follow-on market for consulting and services related to implementing SCCM tools and methods to use them.
