The homes at the intersection of Old Apex Road and Falcone Parkway are among the largest construction projects undertaken in Cary by Habitat for Humanity of Wake County.
On Saturday, March 28, Southern Crane donated a 6-ton truck crane and operator to help volunteers set trusses and lift roof sections into place.
“Southern Crane is a long-time friend to Habitat for Humanity of Wake County – they’ve been putting roofs on our homes for years,” said Ed Rogers, construction superintendent. “We appreciate their gifts, their professionalism and their continued support.”
After more than 46 years of business, Southern Crane and its parent, Southern Industrial Constructors, have made “Working Together Safely” the cornerstone of their operations. The companies serve as industry and community leaders, taking pride in providing their services with safety, integrity, quality workmanship and responsive customer care.
Founded in 1962, Southern Industrial provides a wide range of services throughout the Southeast, including turnkey industrial construction, industrial electrical construction, turnkey plant installations and relocations, rigging, millwright and machinery moving services, process and utility piping, precision concrete construction, structural and specialty steel fabrication and erection, and complete plant maintenance services.
Southern Crane (southernindustrial.com) provides state-of-the-art crane and rigging services, and is a leader in a national safety movement to encourage the certification of all crane operators. All of Southern Crane’s operators are CCO certified.
Because of their exemplary safety records, both Southern Industrial and Southern Crane are recognized as STAR contractors by the N.C. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Division.
