Apriso®, a leading provider of adaptive software solutions for global Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), today announced its award designation as a PM100 Technology Partner for 2009, based on the FlexNet® MOM solution that has been implemented at L’Oréal. PM100 Winners will be honored and presented with their awards at the Progressive Manufacturing Awards Gala, to be held on the last day of the Progressive Manufacturing Summit 2009: Redefining the Business of Manufacturing in Turbulent Economic Times, June 9-11, at the Ritz-Carlton in Sarasota, Florida.
Apriso’s FlexNet platform has been implemented across 14 sites to date at L’Oréal, primarily in European and North American locations, as a flexible platform for manufacturing operations execution. FlexNet now provides L’Oréal with real-time warehouse, logistics, production and quality management functionality that are tightly coupled with their SAP ERP system.
“L’Oréal has implemented Apriso’s FlexNet as part of our Integrated Solution for Industrial Systems or ISIS initiative. By deploying a dual-platform strategy – FlexNet as an enterprise platform for MOM and SAP as an ERP solution – seamless integration has been achieved for the lowest possible cost between business applications and shop floor operations,” explained Morris Lenczicki, North America Project Manager at L’Oréal. “Today, L’Oréal uses Apriso FlexNet to manage on-site production, quality, traceability, material movement and warehouse operations to effectively improve operational efficiency and enterprise agility.”
“Winning companies dramatically underscore how the manufacturing industry will not only get through this period of economic uncertainty, but emerge in an even stronger position once a recovery takes hold,” said David R. Brousell, Editor-in-Chief of Managing Automation Media. “The L’Oréal project, enabled by Apriso, reflects great creativity and inventiveness, a determined willingness to take risk, and an enduring resilience to continually improve every aspect of their business. These companies are leading the way to a better future for the whole industry.”
“We are very pleased to be selected for this award, both as recognition of the hard work that was done, and as representation of the great accomplishments L’Oréal has achieved,” commented Jim Henderson, president and CEO at Apriso. “By helping L’Oréal deploy Apriso’s MOM platform to complement their existing ERP, L’Oréal has established a strong foundation for operations excellence that has played an important role in improving quality, efficiency and global visibility.”
