Prominent photographer and founder of the Compassionate Eye Foundation (CEF) Robert Kent, conceived the idea to bring photographers and their crews together each summer solstice for a philanthropic business model that generates funds though imagery licensing. The innovative non-profit organization based in Canada, has the goal to support, honour and empower those in developing nations in order to expand educational opportunities, basic health services, and tools for economic development.

Image Source will participate in both their New York and London offices during the Solstice Shoot, as will other photographer crews around the world. Image Source’s own art directors will collaborate with local photographers in both cities to add to this humanitarian and creative day in order to raise funds by donating time and images that are created on June 21st for the CEF. The royalties from images sales of the Compassionate Eye Foundation’s photo collection will sponsor projects in developing countries such as Guatemala, South Africa, Ethiopia and Sierra Leone.

Kick-starting this new partnership, Image Source will create a new collection of images for the CEF, with the aim to produce and contribute more content throughout the year.
