Debut Broadcasting Corporation, Inc.™, a media and entertainment company, today announced it recently executed an agreement with RegionalHelpWanted.com to establish DeltaHelpWanted.com and VicksburgHelpWanted.com to promote economic development in the communities Debut's radio stations serve, specifically in the Mississippi Delta.
Under terms of the agreement, Debut Broadcasting will receive the majority of all net revenues generated by DeltaHelpWanted.com and VicksburgHelpWanted.com. “As part of our efforts, Debut's Mississippi Delta Super-Regional Cluster™ radio stations aim to provide the most up-to-date and useful economic and career information for listeners,” said Steven Ludwig, CEO of Debut Broadcasting. “The company takes every opportunity to help create a buzz about local job opportunities that can in turn help grow and maintain the local economy. Debut Broadcasting has found success despite tough economic times, and we take pride in broadcasting programs such as ‘Strictly Business’ and ‘Delta Mornings,’ that offer listeners lifestyle and career advice to help them succeed, as well.”
Five Debut Broadcasting owned and/or operated radio stations in Indianola, Miss. and Greenville, Miss. broadcast “Strictly Business,” a weekly hour-long program hosted by Ed Johnson, CEO of the Delta Economic Development Center. Johnson interviews guests, including mayors, economic professors, community development directors, and more, to provide insight for listeners in to issues that impact life in business and social problems in the Mississippi Delta. Also, “Delta Mornings,” hosted by David Lush on News Talk 1330 AM, is another Debut Broadcasting program that provides a platform for business owners and community leaders to expand on the current life style, business opportunities and economy of the region.
“Debut radio stations update listeners with important community events, public service announcements and local business information through on-air features and on the Web at DeltaRadioNews.com,” said Jackie Linn, operations manager for Debut Broadcasting in Indianola and Greenville. “The company is continually brainstorming new on-air programs and features to support the local market while developing relationships with local community directors and area experts that are able to educate listeners on best life style practices in the Delta.”
Debut Broadcasting recently finalized an agreement with the Mississippi Department of Employment to broadcast job openings of all skill levels on Debut’s five Mississippi Delta stations every weekday morning, as well as post the positions on DeltaRadioNews.com.
