Xyleme® Inc., the leading provider of 100% XML, SCORM 2004 certified learning content management solutions, today announced the immediate availability of Xyleme LCMS 3.3. This is Xyleme’s newest version of its industry leading single-source solution for learning content management.
Xyleme LCMS enables organizations to employ Reusability 2.0 techniques for leveraging content across any learning modality, thereby creating a customized and contextual learning experience that reaches each learner at their moment of need. The new release includes a number of customer requested features for simplified content authoring, new eLearning and ILT models, improved collaboration throughout content review cycles, and powerful globalization capabilities.

Xyleme LCMS New Features and Capabilities
Content Authoring: A new Action Panel simplifies content assembly in a fully contextual manner with intelligent toolbars and a number of shortcut buttons to reduce the effort required for common content authoring operations.
eLearning: The new release comes with a redesigned, modern, and customizable look-and-feel for eLearning along with a number of new assessment types for drag-and-drop sequencing, hot spot assessments, and video assessments to support media-rich web courses.
ILT: Xyleme LCMS 3.3 introduces new flexible models for Instructor-Led Training, including both textbook-style and workshop-style instructor models, and provides support for numerous new output formats such as student handout packs and program support materials.
Workflow: The new review session dialog features help content contributors participate more effectively in the content review cycle with named sessions, automatic email reminders, hyperlinks to comments, review reports, and more.
Globalization / Translation: Xyleme LCMS 3.3 has significant new functionality that facilitates the globalization of content. Xyleme LCMS provides the ability to maintain a single source of content that can be deployed to different international audiences based on specific language profiles. Also, a translation manager simplifies content translation with specific workflows to either include external translation agencies or translate directly within the LCMS.
