Dubbed as the largest and most comprehensive career exhibition, JOBEX will play host to leading Omani and Gulf companies, HR, recruitment, placement and management consultants, online manpower recruitment portals, career guidance centers, retailers and distributors of publications for job seekers. JOBEX will be held at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
Organized for the 7th year in succession, JOBEX is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Manpower and has the support of Oman International Bank SAOG and Oman Air as Platinum Sponsors, Muscat Electricity Distribution Company as a Gold Sponsor and Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG as Silver Sponsor.
With a focus on Omanisation, JOBEX is aimed at providing the right environment for public and private sector companies. The event will showcase current and future employment and staffing needs, providing companies with an easy access to qualified and proactive individuals from a wide range of industries.
Jobex plays a key role in the government’s Omanisation program. In recent years, Omanisation is witnessing a success rate, growing at 12.7 per cent annually since 2000 despite the sharp rise of expatriate workers. The country’s new employment opportunities during the five year plan period (2006-2010) is expected to reach 199,000, an average of 40,000 jobs annually. With Omanisation, about 75,000 job opportunities would be generated.

The 7th Jobex will be held on the sidelines of the country’s major events, namely, GHEDEX, TRAINEX, EDUTECH, SCHOOLEX from April 8 to 10, 2009 by Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE), the country’s premier events company.
