NewswireTODAY - /newswire/ - Charlotte, NC, United States, 2009/03/11 - The Cabarrus Region and Lake Norman Chapter of eWomenNetwork will host its first full-day conference program on Friday, April 3 with a focus on providing Smart ideas for success. The program is open to the public.

The “Spring into SMART Success” event will include keynote speakers, breakout panel discussions, networking and a vendor showcase. Topics will be relevant to owners of small and start-up companies and women in all businesses who are looking to succeed.

TV personality and national speaker Kim Jacobs, CEO of Kim Jacobs Unlimited, is the event emcee. Friday’s keynote speaker is Terri Bennett, CEO of Terri Bennett Enterprises, LLC and meteorologist at WCNC-TV and WSOC-TV who will focus on remaining positive during challenging times. Expert panels will tackle financial and marketing issues.

The SMART Marketing panel will feature Charlotte-area marketing experts Gail Martin of DreamSpinner Communications, Sherre DeMao of SLD Unlimited Marketing/PR and Carol Bell of Steele Creek Printing. The marketing experts panel, moderated by Gail Martin, will tackle the topic “Smart Marketing in Lean Times” with tips on how to create effective promotions on a tight budget.

The SMART Money panel features financial experts Karen Kennedy of Primerica Financial Services, Beth Belk of Beth W. Belk, PA Certified Public Accountants and Judith Mohr, an independent Certified Financial Planner. They will discuss “Smart Money Strategies” to help start-up companies, small businesses and entrepreneurs stretch their dollars farther.

The “Spring into SMART Success” event runs from 8 am. to 5 pm. on Friday, April 3 at the Embassy Suites Concord Convention Center located at 5400 John Q. Hammons Drive off of Bruton Smith Parkway. An “afterglow” event runs from 5 p.m. – 6 pm. Cost is $140 for eWomenNetwork members and $155 for non-members which includes all event activities, plus breakfast and lunch. Registration is $185 beginning March 27. Display tables are also available.
