The site features unique webisodes and articles covering a wide range of topics: general design interest, lifestyle, travel, at-home design dilemmas and solutions, and message boards for community involvement. “Our future plans include expanding the webisodes into several different weekly series that are topic-specific, and to offer hand-picked furniture and home accessories for sale at “better-than-retail” prices”, says Rifle.

The duo was inspired to create the site based on their experiences as on-camera designers. “There is so much more to design than any reality-based design show is going to be able to convey in 30 minutes. It’s not fair to the viewers and we wanted to address these shortcomings by providing accurate and realistic information through webisodes and articles.” said Casey.

The site grew in concept from simply offering correct information to a platform for Rifle and Casey to explore all manners of lifestyle information they knew the television shows couldn’t or wouldn’t.

Rifle added, “We realized that a new-media platform would allow us and our audience the freedom to explore a wider range of topics than, say, a TV show about one specific topic. That’s the beauty of our site… Kris and I are free to use our own voices and the audience can pick their own topics based on their personal interests.”

To create the webisodes, Rifle and Casey have drawn on their vast production experience and formed SPB Productions as the production arm of the venture. They are currently in talks with several brands about sponsorship and incorporating products into future topic-specific webisodes.
