BrandMaker, a Karlsruhe-based software company in the field of marketing process optimization has been awarded the IT Innovation Award 2009 by the German "Initiative for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses". Its Marketing Planner in the SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) version received the award in the category "On Demand" this past Thursday at the CeBIT, Hannover. The Marketing Planner is the first completely web-based software for marketing management in SMBs. Under patronage of the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Technology, a jury of 60 scientists, industry experts and journalists honored the BrandMaker Marketing Planner for its high degree of innovation, the benefits it provides to the marketing staff, its high product maturity and its specific aptitude for use in SMBs. For the past six years, each year the "Initiative for SMBs" has awarded prizes to the most innovative IT products for small and medium-sized businesses.
