Jim White, training director for Shermco Industries, will moderate a panel session titled ‘Safety and 70E’ at the PowerTest Electrical Maintenance and Safety Conference held in San Antonio, March 9 - 12.
Hosted by the InterNational Electrical Testing Association, PowerTest 2009 is a conference designed to inform and educate those involved with electrical power system testing and maintenance. As panel chair for the discussion, White will answer questions and provide expertise into regulations covered by this year’s edition of the NFPA 70E. In addition, White will present a 4-hour seminar on the topic titled “Important Changes to the 2009 NFPA 70E” on Wednesday, March 11.
“The 70E is an important part of electrical safety programs for many companies,” said White. “Conference attendees will be able to have their questions answered and receive up-to-date information on changes to the standard that will make a significant difference in the safety of their operations.”
White is the training director for Shermco Industries, a leading provider of rotating apparatus and electrical power system testing, commissioning, repair, maintenance and training. He is the chairman of the 2008 IEEE Industry Applications Society Electrical Safety Workshop and a member of the NFPA 70E committee.
