The Russell Bedford accounting group has announced the strengthening of its coverage in the Middle East by the appointment of a new correspondent firm, InterACM Group, in Beirut, Lebanon.
InterACM was founded in 1993 as a limited liability company by the current managing director, Shawki Abou Khalil.
In addition to Shawki Abou Khalil, who is a Lebanese certified public accountant and an audit and consulting specialist, there are now three other principals. Hussein Mahmoud Wahid is the accounting partner and has experience as a financial controller in West Africa as well as public accounting experience in Lebanon. Amer Abou Khalil is a qualified attorney with 25 years’ experience in the provision of legal services. And Ahmad Ezzeideine, with 17 years’ experience in computer programming and maintenance, heads the firm’s IT consulting division.
The firm was originally established in the city of Tyre, in southern Lebanon, and it now has a significant presence in the accounting market in this part of the country. Recently a new head office has opened in the Al Jnah district of the capital, Beirut.
InterACM provides a full range of audit, tax and accounting services within Lebanon. In addition it offers a significant amount of advisory work, IT support, cash flow forecasts, etc.
The firm is licensed by the Lebanese Association of Certified Public Accountants (LACPA) to perform audits of any company or organisation other than banks and financial institutions.
The firm has around 80 clients, several of which have overseas operations in Africa or elsewhere in the Middle East.
