Today MADCAD.com announced the launch of eLibrary v3.0, an online resource where subscribers can search across thousands of codes and standards instantly.
With MADCAD.com, industry professionals have quick, web-based access to the codes and standards they need every day. On-site and in the office, from the design phase through to demolition day, MADCAD.com informs industry professionals during the entire building life-cycle.
"We don't sell books, and we don't sell PDFs of books," CEO Pelin Atasoy explains. "We provide real-time, subscription-based access to the codes and standards information from ASHRAE, ASTM, ICC, NFPA, and others. From any web browser, even on the iPhone, you can search our entire code database of over 7,000 books. In less than a second, you know what books have the regulations you need, and with one more click you can jump into relevant code sections to read full-book content."
Once the subscriber is in the relevant section, MADCAD.com makes it easy to browse the code with web-based (HTML) features:
- chapters, sections, and figures cross-referenced and linked;
- linked table of contents and errata;
- ability to copy and paste relevant excerpts and tables into reports;
Personal Book Groups is a new feature that MADCAD.com is introducing with v3.0 in which users can organize books as desired, such as all the applicable books for a current project.
MADCAD.com v3.0 also incorporates a new database with adopted model codes by states and state amendments and a database of more than 10,000 product manufacturer's website links organized by CSI's MasterFormat.
"At MADCAD.com, we build web-based services with the entire building industry in mind. Codes and standards are only the foundation for the resource we'd like to develop in the future," hints Atasoy.
