The National Coalition of Pharmaceutical Distributors (NCPD) and XStream Systems, Inc. today announced its agreement to collaborate in advancing XStream’s revolutionary supply chain safety and anti-counterfeiting solution to its membership.
This agreement will give NCPD members preferential access to XStream’s XT250 Materials Authentication and Secure Pharma Network Solutions which authenticate and verify pharmaceutical products inside its sealed containers throughout the receiving, stocking and fulfillment process.
NCPD will be working with its members to assist them in deploying XStream’s authentication solution in order to provide its member’s customers with access to the safest and most verified pharmaceutical products available, and protect it from the growing threat of counterfeit, tampered, and adulterated pharmaceuticals.
“By teaming with XStream we are providing our members access to the most comprehensive solution of safeguarding the pharmaceutical supply chain,” said Karen Moody, President of NCPD. “Our members will be able to verify and authenticate their inventories from receiving to returns and maintain complete supply chain integrity.”
According to Alan Clock, XStream’s Senior Vice President, the NCPD members represent the perfect end user of XStream’s Solutions. “Like many within the pharmaceutical supply chain, the NCPD member distributor recognizes the many threats that currently exist globally to its source of supply,” he said. “As a result of these threats, it is vital for pharmaceutical distributors to have an effective process to verify and authenticate their products as they receive and ship them to their customers.”
NCPD and XStream anticipate their collaborative efforts will make significant strides in securing the domestic pharmaceutical supply chain and will increase the safety to all medication consumers in the United States.
