Apriso®, a leading provider of adaptive software solutions for global manufacturing operations management, today announced Toray Industries, Inc. (TYO: 3402), an integrated chemical company headquartered in Japan, has selected and implemented Apriso’s FlexNet® as an Operations Execution System to reinforce their strategic vision for manufacturing operations. The system is now live and operational, enabling them to collect and analyze actual performance from raw materials receipt through final production, to help improve their operations performance.
FlexNet is now live at their Aichi Plant, and is expected to be deployed in other domestic factories producing the same product line in the near future. The Aichi plant deployment was conducted by Toray Systems Center, Inc. (TSC), Toray’s IT subsidiary firm and Toyo Business Engineering Corp, (B-eng).
Providing much more functionality than a traditional Manufacturing Execution System (MES), from the receipt of raw materials to Work-in-Process (WIP) to finished goods, FlexNet is managing scheduling and task dispatching for all production orders, as well as manufacturing recipe management and Quality management.
