Ladies, are you looking for a fun girls night out in South Florida? Look no further! Special occasion clothing boutique Susan Rose and WomenCertified are uniting to host “Suit Yourself, Suit a Friend,” an exciting event for charity on February 25.
Located at Susan Rose at 1773 N. University Drive in Plantation, the event will feature a trunk show of the latest designs from Mon Cheri, light refreshments and the opportunity to shop the store’s extensive collection of special occasion clothing.
And in order to “suit a friend,” the store is asking guests to bring new or gently used women’s suits to the event. All clothing donations will be given to Women In Distress, the only nationally accredited, state-certified, full service domestic violence center in Broward County. The suits will be distributed to women in need to help them get back on their feet.
“I am so proud to be partnering with Women in Distress for this event,” said Susan Rose owner Rae Ann Panciera. “I deeply admire all of the support and education they provide to the women and children in our community and can’t think of a better way to celebrate Susan Rose becoming WomenCertified. I strongly encourage all attendees to do some early Spring cleaning and offer up your best business attire donations to this very important resource in Broward County.”
Guests will also enjoy a special 15-minute seminar titled, “Building Family Relationships that will Last a Lifetime,” led by Delia Passi, the founder of WomenCertified and the leading consumer advocate for women. Passi has traveled internationally to speak on gender communications and other topics to empower women shoppers.
“Since this is a special girls’ night out,” said Passi, “we wanted to offer our guests something meaningful that they can take with them after the event is over. All you need is a few small changes in the way you interact to take your relationships from good to great.”

Susan Rose is hosting “Suit Yourself, Suit a Friend” to celebrate becoming the first women’s clothing retailer in Florida to earn the WomenCertified Seal, which underscores their commitment to women. To achieve this certification, the store’s sales staff went through Passi’s specialized training on how to better serve female customers and provide women friendly customer experiences. Passi will present the store with a special WomenCertified plaque and ribbon cutting ceremony at the event.
