Audiolife, a Los Angeles-based Artist Services Company currently in public beta, has announced the official launch of their "Artist Advancement Scholarship" program. The scholarship, which comes at a time where schools throughout California are seeing massive budget cuts, is geared toward college-level Music School students who are either actively pursuing a career as a musician or as a music industry professional.
"We see this opportunity as a win-win," remarked Audiolife Founder and CEO Brandon Hance. "Not only will students have the opportunity to be awarded $500 toward their music education, but our company will obtain valuable feedback about our new technology and web-platform. We are excited to hear what students have to say about Audiolife!"
"Audiolife Advancement Scholarship" details include:
• Deadline: Essays must be submitted not later than 11:59 pm PST on April 1, 2009.
• Students will investigate and research Audiolife’s transformative business model to answer the following question: "How do you see Audiolife affecting the music industry in the next two to three years?"
• Entry rules: Essays must be 1000 words or less.
• Scholarship Award Winner will be announced by April 20th, 2009.
• A total of $500 cash will be awarded to one winner, by no later than May 1st, 2009.
• Eligibility: All students in any accredited academic university institution or music school and must be enrolled at least part-time during the 2009 academic school year.
Essays will be judged by internal Audiolife staff including CEO/Founder Brandon Hance and Co-Founder/VP of Artist Relations, Aaron Wiener, as well as a handful of longtime music industry professionals. The essay winner will be announced by April 20th, 2009.
Submissions must be sent to Artist Relations Manager, Travis Dean in a Word Document or PDF format.
