In the Fall of 2008, TIA members and constituents used Informz to nominate more than 400 toys, from which a Committee selected the list of final nominees. In December 2008, TIA invited its members to vote for the year’s best toys in eleven categories, using Informz. This was the first year that only online voting was used, prior years they used a combination of paper and online voting or only paper voting. In addition to the nomination and voting for the TOTY Awards, the awards ceremony event registration itself was managed using Informz’s event registration software, as well as all the email communication associated with the event.
"By using Informz, managing the Toy of The Year awards was a smooth process." said Isabel Carrion-Lopez, Online Communications Manager, Toy Industry Association, Inc. "It was great that we could use one system to manage the toy nominations, the vote, the event registration and all email communications. It was easy to do our work all in one place!"
