The increase is proportional with the construction sector - the most dynamic sector of the Romanian economy (27% yoy). An important element that supports this growth is the number of industrial flooring specialists which evolved from only 10 companies in 2002 to over 150 companies in only 6 years, as revealed by the IBC Focus Report. Moreover, more and more companies from countries like Italy or Hungary have penetrated the Romanian market in the last years.
The same research study indicates that in 2008 the industrial flooring market reached a total surface of almost 11 million sqm. In terms of volume, IBC Focus estimates that the Romanian industrial flooring market is worth 200 million Euros.

The specialists estimate that this market will be mainly propelled by foreign and local investments in logistic and retail centers, as new retail chains have planned to penetrate the Romanian market, investments in Greenfield and Brownfield production units for the food and beverage industry and also Governmental investments in public medical units.
