Neurotic Media, the leading provider of online and mobile entertainment download solutions, today announced that it was selected by the National Civil Rights Museum to support the digital store of a special musical tribute recording to honor both Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and President Barack Obama. The single, “Martin’s Tribute” is being released today as part of the Museum’s annual King Day Celebration.
Offered for sale on the National Civil Rights Museum’s website, the MP3 single features the voice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as well as highlights from President Barack Obama’s acceptance speech made on November 4, 2008 when he won the Presidential election. Performers on the song include Patti Austin, Yolanda Adams, Ali Woodson, Darrell Coley, Cybil Shepard, Will Downing and Take 6.
This project was conceived by Grammy-Award Winning producers Sanchez Harley and Jacqui Whittmon, the song’s executive producers, who both worked on the 1993 CD release “March On,” which was recorded at Mason Temple in Memphis, Tennessee to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. King.
“It is truly an honor to have been chosen to provide the back-end download services to the National Civil Rights Museum for this special tribute store,” says Shachar Oren, CEO of Neurotic Media. “Although Neurotic Media works for famous recording artists and Fortune 500 brands on a daily basis, there is nothing more inspirational than to be involved in sharing the spirit of what this tribute song offers to all of us - as Americans, and as first-hand witnesses to such a monumental event in our country’s history as the swearing in of Barack Obama as President of the United States.”
