Daniel Thompson Mineral Make Up is currently available to patients and customers through participating dermatologist/physician online stores and select spas. The partnership between Daniel Thompson Beauty and Rosemarie Umetsu Inc., marks the first boutique style retail presence for the beauty collection. The atelier of Rosemarie Umetsu is Toronto’s best-kept fashion secret, a true design and art studio catering to clients by appointment only. The atelier was founded 3 years ago by Rosemarie Umetsu who was previously a buyer for Holt Renfrew and product designer for Club Monaco. Clients of the Rosemarie Umetsu label include a list of international celebrities and Toronto’s fashion icons.
The new collaboration will offer a one-stop shop boutique for both fashion and beauty for any event or occasion. The partnership includes regular availability of appointments with Daniel Thompson, the creator of the beauty collection, for all clients of Rosemarie Umetsu.
Daniel Thompson started his career in 1993 working with top industry retailers such as Gucci Group, Yves Saint Laurent Beauté and L'Oréal Paris. As the spa industry grew Daniel joined the Red Door Spa group of New York becoming a certified advanced aesthetician in the Elizabeth Arden principles. In 2003 Daniel founded Thompson Consulting specializing in business development, motivational workshops and retail growth for spas, paramedical clinics and major cosmetics corporations. He has consulted across Canada and lectured in New York, Oslo and Dubai.
Daniel has served on the faculty at Elmcrest College and is recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ontario as a vocational instructor. Daniel was the creator and host of The One Minute Make Over broadcast across Canada on the Standard Radio Network, is a contributing writer for Les Nouvelles Esthetiques (Canada), and the online author of Beauty: Busted! for Erica Ehm Communications Inc.
The official launch of Daniel Thompson Mineral Make Up will be hosted by Rosemarie Umetsu on January 28, 2009 with a press preview at 5:00 pm and a shopping evening for clients from 5:30 pm – 9 pm. The Atelier of Rosemarie Umetsu is located at 96 Avenue Road, Toronto, Ontario.
