WagFest Litertainment is more than a literary conference and bazaar; it is a movement that promotes self sufficiency and resourcefulness. Although not exclusive, WagFest caters to independent and self published authors, poets, musicians, comedians, and artist. Starting in 2007 in New Jersey, a close knit group of authors got together in the spirit to sell books and have a good time. Since then, a second WagFest (Seattle) in March 2008 and third WagFest (Cincinnati) in October 2008 proved to be huge successes with a larger group of artists and fans traveling cross country to participate in this event. The saying at WagFest is "come as strangers but leave as family" and that has proven true time and time again.
WagFest weekend begins Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Marriott Airport Hotel, Seatac, Washington with a meet and greet and comedy show featuring Seattle resident and BET’s Host of One Mic, Ralph Porter. Saturday, March 14 includes publishing and inspirational seminars and workshops, award recognition, and a night out on the town. The weekend of activities wraps up on Sunday, March 15 with a farewell breakfast, inspirational service, and scenic tour of beautiful Seattle.
Bonnie Calloway has been a resident of Seattle since 1975. Calloway has been teaching Chicago Style Stepping for the past four years and has been stepping for six years. Calloway teaches every Thursday night from 7 pm to 9 pm at The Royal Esquire Club, located at 5016 Rainier Avenue South, Seattle WA.
