HMI / SCADA Developers, System Integrators, IT Developers and Machine Builders now have a runtime-free* option for creating HMI, control, and supervisory control applications in Visual Studio.NET. ASComm.NET provides the communications link between .NET applications and industrial controllers, PLCs, and instrumentation.
ASComm.NET now implements drivers for connectivity to:
• GE SRTP Ethernet enabled devices;
• Modbus/TCP slave devices;
• A-B Logix family of devices via Ethernet;
• A-B PLC5, SLC500, and MicroLogix via Ethernet.
All drivers are packaged in a single component, with a consistent API for reading and writing controller data tables. Each driver can be licensed individually as required for your application.
ASComm.NET can be used in Windows, console, service, and web applications. All drivers are self-contained. No third party driver purchase is required.
ASComm.NET can be configured programmatically or visually. Visual design allows you to build your entire communications configuration without writing a single line of code. High quality example applications with C# and VB source code are included.
Additional drivers including Automation Direct ECOM Ethernet, Modbus/TCP Slave, Modbus RTU/ASCII Master, and A-B Serial DF1 are planned for Q1/2009.
