Sly, Inc., has successfully applied a new pulse-jet style dust collector to capture explosive aromatic hydrocarbon resin. The new TubeJet® CTR dust collector with walk-in plenum can filter dust from belt conveyors and bagging lines at this manufacturer. Air volume is 4000 ACFM with an air-to-cloth ratio of 3.9:1. Explosion relief vents, grounded filter bags and an explosion suppression isolation system on the inlet ductwork were provided to meet current NFPA 68 and 69 codes.

The Sly Inc. TubeJet CTR dust collector is a cylindrical design collecter designed for use in high pressure or high vacuum applications. The design's all-welded construction permits standard vacuum and pressure ranging from ±20" WG to ±17" Hg. with designs available from full vacuum to ASME coded vessels to 50 psig.
Round housing makes interior cleaning of the dust collector easy, and minimizes cold spots in high heat applications.
