A revolutionary online social network created for dancers by dancers was launched today. DancePlug.com provides support, inspiration, self-promotion and peer-to-peer networking for the global dance community, as well as daily news from the dance world. In addition, DancePlug offers a radical, ground-breaking service – online dance classes.
The site is the creation of international dance educators Adam Parson, Glyn Gray and Anh Dillon, who have recognized the benefits of a one-stop site for the dance community.
“Although the internet has a variety of dance websites,” explains Adam, “DancePlug is the only site that caters to the interests and needs of the entire dance community. We have created a space for users which identifies the needs of everyone with an interest in dance.”
“Our online dance classes,” he adds, “offer everyone the chance to become part of the new evolution of dance from their own homes.”
DancePlug’s networking features include individual profile pages and will allow dance identities to connect with each other, creating opportunities for work or exposure.
The online dance classes cover a variety of combinations and exercises – in ballet, tap, jazz, funk, hip-hop, contemporary and lyrical at beginner, intermediate and advanced ability levels. They will be available 24/7 for users to learn at their own pace, directly from their computer screen.
Included in the tools available on DancePlug are:
- A global peer-to-peer dance network, connecting dancers to dancers, teachers to choreographers and more;
- The latest dance news;
- Self promoting tools for dancers, choreographers, dance educators, or dance schools;
- Uploading of high quality images and real-time streaming video hosting;

DancePlug (danceplug.com) is the brainchild of three dance professionals: Glyn Gray, Anh Dillon and Adam Parson, who have worked as performers, teachers and choreographers throughout the US and internationally.
