Adaptive Wireless Solutions have added a data visualization feature to the OnCall monitoring application which provides real-time images of data centre conditions including temperature, humidity, energy and air flow.

This new feature is enabled by the use of a Spinwave Systems wireless sensor network within the data centre which provides a flexible, expandable and low cost to install solution to gathering the raw data required for input to OnCall.

This new development will be a key enabler in allowing data centre operators to calculate efficiency metrics (such as DCIE and PUE) which to date have suffered from lack of measurement data and whose value changes as conditions vary due to changing environmental factors, IT loads and equipment upgrades.
