There are some places remaining for the course but nominations from supply chain management companies close on December 31.
Held in Mumbai from January 28-29, the Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management has attracted nominations from India, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Philippines, Belgium, USA, Kazakhstan and Thailand.
Managed by the Project Professionals Group, the course was developed at the request of freight forwarding professionals following concerns about the critical international skills shortage in the supply chain and logistics industry.
PPG General Manager Kevin Stephens said the training represented a very worthwhile investment of $US 1,500 per person, and was not just open to PPG members but other businesses and organizations who wanted to add value through skills training that otherwise could take many years to acquire.
Program topics covered key areas and were broken up into easy-absorbed modules that focused on practical training in industry best-practice that could be effectively applied in the workplace from day one.
A course outline and further information is available on request to Kevin Stephens info[.]wwproject.net.
“This is an innovative approach to training because it has been designed by industry professionals and focuses on face-to-face interaction in a workshop format. This will deliver an invaluable learning environment for participants through case studies that will improve skills and understanding that can be applied quickly and confidently when the student returns to the workplace and improve bottom line performance,” Mr Stephens said.
Principal instructor Kevin Stephens has 40 years of international industry experience that provides a wealth of knowledge covering all aspects of the supply chain, particularly project forwarding, ship-broking, chartering and contract management activities.
Business communication consultant Rodger Hall has taught university students and managers essential business communication skills that help persuade, promote, instruct and explain.
Following the completion of the course, a Certificate of Achievement in Project Cargo Management will be presented.
