For the next 3 years, the organization looks forward to expand its global sourcing operations in country of China and employ near about 1,000 professionals. The center will provide the facility of Software Development, Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing services with technical help of desk services or technology support and maintenance.

In addition to this, the multi purpose Shanghai facility is serving as Open Source center of excellence, where Unisys will deploy or develop an open source environment of software that measurably improves clients' capability for realization of key advantages of secure business operations; more access to tools for development of mission critical business applications, minimization of risk and improved operational efficiency and cost control. The center can accommodate approximately 251 seats and has the capability to expand to 555 totals.
With the opening of the Shanghai center, Unisys has made a strong commitment towards long term development in the market of China, the Shanghai center will serve their customers well by approaching them with an offshore cost advantage by fully integrated into Unisys global solutions, technology expertise or service delivery infrastructure." The operations already include offices in city like Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing. Some of key Chinese customer includes Air China, Beijing Capital International Airport ICBC and PBOC.
