All advance registrations for the Football Superstars MMOG (Massively Multiplayer Online Game) will be notified as soon as it is released. In an extra virtual reality twist, avatars will be able to play “The Knowledge” quiz game from within the virtual world.
Phil Booker, Sales & Marketing Director at Cybersports, says: “We asked Matmi to get involved with promoting user registrations for Football Superstars because they have an uncanny ability to target a demographic very accurately online. Beta testing has gone very well, indicating growing demand for the virtual world. The quiz game will continue to run alongside Football Superstars after it's released to give us extra reach.”
In “The Knowledge”, players answer football trivia questions against the clock to move upfield and score goals. A correct answer passes the ball upfield; a pass passes it to a team member and an incorrect answer or aggressive play results in a lost tackle with the opposing team.
Players can record their quiz scores and set up their own quiz leagues to challenge family and friends on their football knowledge. League members are automatically notified as soon as a new quiz score is added, and challenged to beat it.
The quiz is available in English now with further language versions planned on demand.
