Doran Scales, the leader in Stainless Steel Scales, now introduces the Model PC-500 Waterproof Portion Control Scale. Available in maximum capacities of 5, 10, 25, or 50lb capacities the PC-500 displays the weight in a large LCD display. Power is supplied by either the included Alkaline batteries or an optional AC adapter.

The PC-500 has an IP66 waterproof rating which means the scale is dust-tight and can withstand the effects of water being sprayed on the scale, even if the water is sprayed using a high pressure stream of water. This high waterproof rating makes the PC-500 an ideal restaurant scale or a digital scale for harsh industrial environments. The PC-500 features a soft silicone seal that protects against washdown scale and allows a high degree of accuracy.

Outstanding reliability is made possible by Doran’s exclusive and field proven “Quad Spring” design. This four-spring system in the scale base virtually eliminates damage from shock and overload. It’s the same abuse resistant design that goes into Doran’s high-end industrial scales.

The tactile feel keypad includes ZERO, ON/OFF, and UNITS buttons. The UNITS switch is used to choose one of five weight display formats: lb, oz, lb:oz, kg, or g.

The PC-500 is a NSF approved scale and the removable platter is constructed of food-grade stainless steel providing an easy to clean and sanitize weighing surface.
