Distribution is a big part of the combined businesses sales and revenue and an area that the companies are always looking to improve. It was after close consultation with various distribution outlets that the new website was designed and launched.
One of the aims of the website is to allow the numerous distribution outlets to easily find and use documents that are a regular part of their business. The website is an ongoing project and is continually been added to and over time will give more and more information to the distributors.
Currently when a distributor logs in they get a summary of their historical sales and orders and what they have done year to date on a monthly basis. The aim in the future is to offer our distributors options such as online ordering, real time order checking and direct order entry, which will save both the distributors and our sales offices massive amounts of time and effort.
At the moment the website currently offers vintage catalogues to allow our distributors to quickly view product specifications dating back to the 1950's, engineering manuals, tooling drawings, assembly charts and various other engineering documents to save the distributors time.
The website allows offers various training material that the distributors can use and commercial information and latest news relating to products and company news that directly affects how they run their business.
An aspect of the website that is continuing to grow is the marketing material that is on offer to the distributors. The aim is to allow the distributors to use company material and documents to help promote their own businesses. Currently this comprises of presentations, brochures, posters, product pictures and price lists. So far this aspect of the website has been well received by the distributors and an aspect that will continue to grow over time.
